DIY Waffle Valentines with Daelmans Stroopwafels

Oh my goodness, I love Valentine's Day. I also LOVE WAFFLES and so do my daughters! So, this year I decided to make waffle-themed Valentines for my daughter's PreK class using delicious stroopwafels! This is a super easy and fun project to do with your kids (or all on your own).

Here is what you need:

Royal Icing or Pink Candy Melts

And a cute cookie card, check out my new "I LIKE YOU A WAFFLE LOT" design in my etsy shop:

I work full-time at an advertising agency. So, the demands of being a working mom to two adorable daughters leaves me with very little time for baking and crafting...and I LOVE baking and crafting! Nevertheless, I try to fit in fun little holiday projects to do with my daughter. Enter the bought cookie! These stroopwafels are DELISH! I wanted to add some cute personal touches that took me no time to do. I bought some pre-mixed royal icing at Hobby Lobby (or make your own, but, again... EASY is my goal) and drizzle those cookies! Note: You could also use pink candy melts to drizzle the cookies. I just happened to have the royal icing and pink gel color already at home.

Then, roll out the yellow fondant and cut out the heart for the "butter" with a mini heart cookie cutter and place on the cookie with more royal icing to hold it in place. My five year daughter cut out all of these and she had so much fun doing it! It really is no-fail.

Simply print and cut them out (or send to be printed), package your cookie in a cello/treat bag and attach to the card with double sided tape, glue dots, or washi tape and you're good to go! I printed mine on 4x6 paper on my home inkjet printer. I got the paper here. Love the precut paper because that saved me an extra step!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!
