Some-bunny is getting EGG-cited about Easter! Easter is one of my favorite holidays, and this year Easter Sunday also falls on my birthday! I wanted to create a fun edible craft for my Itty Bitter Bakers class in April, so the idea for Easter Bunny Cake Parfait Pots was hatched!
I guess I really love making animals out of Oreos, but can you blame me?! How cute are these?!
Here is what you need to make these cute bunny pots!
Oreos
Candy eyes
Candy hearts
White, pink, orange and green fondant
Milk Chocolate Buttercream Frosting (or store bought)
1 box yellow cake mix
Circle cookie cutters
White Melting Chocolate
It is so easy to make these cake pot parfaits, simple layer yellow cake, buttercream frosting, and oreos twice! Then, add candy eyes and heart nose to the white chocolate Oreo (attach using melted white chocolate). I love the individual Ready-To-Use Fondant, 4.4oz packets that you can find at Michaels. Making the ears, paws, and carrot out of fondant is super easy too. It's really like playing with play-doh! My seven-year-old replicated my original design perfectly!
I know it is a cute dessert when my kids tell me it's the best thing I have ever made. It really makes my day!
