I've been making my fair share of cupcakes for friends lately, and I LOVE it. My favorite thing about baking is being able to share what I make with others. At the ad agency where I work, I was tasked with helping throw a going away party for a fellow Art Director who is retiring and moving to an amazing lake house!
Laura is more than just a colleague, she is my creative mentor and the kind of friend that feels like family. I'm lucky to have her in my life. So, I was super excited to design these party materials and bake some delicious homemade cupcakes for her (since she complains I never bake for her lol!!)
I got the cutest toppers all from amazon to achieve the "lake life" look:
I used a large french star tip for the three-toned swirl and my trusty buttercream recipe topped with Wilton Pearlized Sugar in Sapphire
I designed a large poster for the event.
And a thank you card that we all signed. We will miss you dearly, Laura!!! Now, I just need to get my weekend lake trip in the books for a visit! Love you lots!
